Responsibilities
Lead food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all sushi and Japanese dishes
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety standards and health regulations
Oversee food service operations during busy hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders and excellent customer satisfaction
Maintain inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and monitor stock to prevent shortages or waste
Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation practices at all times
Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize kitchen workflows and improve overall efficiency
Skills
Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food industry setting
Solid background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and sushi craftsmanship
Excellent team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff and foster a positive work setting
Extensive food handling knowledge with a focus on safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant management experience is highly desirable
Exceptional communication skills for effective coordination with team members and front-of-house staff
Deep understanding of hospitality principles, customer service excellence, and food service operations
