As Controller, your responsibility includes acting as a financial advisor to Chief and Council while ensuring compliance with various reporting requirements. You will lead budgeting processes, oversee audits, and help foster a robust finance department while engaging positively with community values. Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the financial advisor, presenting to Council
• Oversee annual budgeting across PFN initiatives
• Monitor compliance with funding agreements and deadlines




• Supervise finance team and conduct performance reviews
• Manage ongoing improvement of finance systems
Requirements:
• CPA or equivalent with 8-10 years in finance roles
• Experience in Indigenous government or not-for-profit sector
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
• Knowledge of Xyntax accounting software preferred
• Respect for Indigenous culture and community dynamics
