We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Developer for one of our clients to become a valuable member of their General Ledger (GL) and Tax team, where you will contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of technology solutions supporting our firm's accounting infrastructure. The team is committed to advancing essential operations, including General Ledger, Allocations, Tax, and Referential Data management.

The software you help develop will enable the Finance Division to manage and track the movement of billions of dollars in revenues and expenses, ensuring the smooth operation of their firm. Additionally, you will extend your expertise to DevOps practices, helping their division squads adopt best practices and improve the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of their systems.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in Java or Python

Good knowledge of Unix/Linux

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of English and French is required

Things to highlight on your resume
While these are not required, we are very interested in speaking with people who have exposure to the following technologies or subjects.

Experience writing large scale applications

Knowledge of OO techniques

Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, including implementation details, performance consideration and complexity

Knowledge of relational databases

Solid understanding of Linux operating systems

Knowledge of testing and code quality tools

Experience writing unit tests and using patching/mocking

Enthusiasm for modern development tools and practices including test-driven development,



agile and continuous integration

Experience managing, deploying and troubleshooting, large scale production environments

Knowledge of containerization

Experience building Python and Java modules and cores from source code

Experience with cross language development between Python and, particularly, Java

Understanding of advanced Python and Java techniques, such as thread management, buffer protocol/ memory view

Experience in writing custom classes and knowledge of packaging libraries

Experience with REST APIs, working with large data streams, and concurrent processing

Ability to use regular expressions to extract data from log files or other text

Knowledge of pandas and numpy

Some experience with opentelemetry would be a nice-to-have
