We are currently looking for Plumbing & Mechanical Superintendents to join our team at projects across the Lower Mainland. We currently have projects in several locations in the Lower Mainland and Northern BC. Specifically, The Superintendent Will
Provide on-site coordination for all phases of the project, including coordinating subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing all aspects of the mechanical project installation, by:

Leading by example; working alongside, supervising and directing the site team

Developing short-term and long-term schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager

Planning and scheduling tasks for the Site Foreperson and Journeypeople

Establishing standard site work hours

Helping eliminate job site clutter and overordering from the shop

In partnership with the Project Manager,



developing a strong understanding of the project scope, reviewing documentation for consistency and issuing RFIs as required

In partnership with the Project Manager, developing and enforcing the project-specific health and safety policy

In partnership with the Project Manager, developing and enforcing the project-specific QAQC program

Ordering of materials and equipment to suit the site installation

Coordinating with the shop and PMP modellers for site-required items

Directing and monitoring sub-trade works to ensure the installation is in line with the project documents

Monitoring and reporting on-site installation to ensure activities are in line with the project schedule, adjusting the team and/or tasks as required

Performing other duties as required

Having a strong understanding of the project specifications

Having a basic understanding of the contract requirements

Fluent in English

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada





Must have Canadian experience as a Superintendent in the Plumbing/Mechanical industry

Able to identify deficient work and provide resolution

Able to read Blueprints, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction and ID drawings

Must be able to take directions

Education & Experience

A minimum of 10 years in the mechanical construction industry

Red Seal Certified

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Familiarity with AutoDesk and Trimble products is considered an asset

A minimum of 5 years as a Mechanical Foreman

Able to maintain good working relationships with personnel of other departments

Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally

Formal training in construction management would be an asset

The ability to use Bluebeam, AutoDesk products and/or NavisWorks would be an asset

Able to adapt to new systems as they come into practice

Strong understanding of all types of plumbing and mechanical systems

Work Conditions

This is a full-time position

Overtime as required

Walking through uneven grounds on construction sites

Navigating around obstacles on construction sites

Compensation
$62/h to $64/h + 5% RRSP + 100% Employer-paid Extended Health & Dental benefits package + Life Insurance + LTD + Vehicle Allowance + Corporate Phone + Gas Card.
