About St. Joseph the Worker School
Located in Richmond near the waterfront village of Steveston, St. Joseph the Worker School is part of a Franciscan faith community. The school embraces the mission of the Church to proclaim and build the Kingdom of God and nurtures the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Faith formation is integrated throughout the curriculum,

Job Description
Position : Full‑time Physical Education Teacher
Location : St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School, Richmond
Start Date : September 1, 2026
Responsibilities include:
Teach physical education classes to elementary students, employing varied instructional techniques to adapt to different learning styles.
Coordinate the school’s athletics programs by liaising with parent and staff coaches.
Schedule and plan games, events, and other athletic activities, ensuring all sports events are fully prepared and executed safely.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate physical activity into the daily schedule and school culture.
Participate in the school’s extracurricular programs and events, contributing to the broader learning community.
