Reporting to the Silviculture Superintendent, the Silviculture Coordinator will work with a team of professionals responsible for all reforestation activities.
Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of reforestation, including developing plans and prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, data collection, reporting, and budget preparation.
Program coordination with other members of the Silviculture team and the Planning and Operations Departments.
Monitoring contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certifications, and health and safety programs.
Qualifications Forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma.
Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) Designation with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia (FPBC), or eligibility for registration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and undertake current challenges.
2-4 years of relevant silviculture experience.
Proficiency with Silviculture software, including CENGEA (LRM), ArcMap, SNAP, RESULTS, MS Office, iPads, Drones, and GPS considered an asset.
Benefits Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position $72,000 - $110,000 may vary depending on education and relevant experience.
