Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care to an elderly Indo-Canadian couple in their 80s in Toronto. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve.

Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, cooking, dishes, cleaning
Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, including those with dementia or hospice care needs
Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a secure and comfortable setting
Support clients with mobility exercises or transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary




Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals
Assist with medical appointments and coordinate transportation as needed
Implement care plans tailored to each client’s specific requirements

Requirements
Proven experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home settings, or working with individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and senior care best practices
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical support tasks safely
Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
Certification or experience in medication administration is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to handle responsibilities such as meal preparation and light cleaning efficiently
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care

Pay: $22.00 per hour
