Job Title: Drafter/Designer
Overview The Engineering Programs, Drafting & Modelling team within the Design Engineering Services Department is expanding to support a growing nuclear portfolio, including power generation projects across Canada and Europe. We are seeking highly motivated Drafting Designers to contribute to multidisciplinary nuclear projects and related industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities Support or administer Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and processes
Perform drafting, design, and 3D modeling across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and/or architectural disciplines
Develop detailed design drawings and models for nuclear power plants and similar industrial facilities
Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams on multidisciplinary projects
Participate in field walkdowns and support data collection when required
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and best practices
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements Education Diploma in Architectural, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant drafting/design experience
Demonstrated experience working in BIM environments
Experience supporting complex industrial or nuclear projects preferred
Technical Skills Proficiency in one or more 2D/3D design software platforms, including but not limited to:
Autodesk Suite: AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Electrical, Raster Design, Revit, Navisworks, Inventor, BIM Collaborate
Other Tools: SolidWorks, Solid Edge, CATIA, MicroStation, Intergraph SmartPlant Review, Bentley ProStructures, SharePoint
Experience using 3D laser scanning equipment and processing point cloud data for brownfield projects is considered an asset
Discipline-Specific Expertise (one or more of the following) Structural steel and reinforced concrete design, connection detailing, shop drawings, and fabrication detailing
Piping isometrics, piping modeling, and pipe support design
Process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;), and electrical/instrumentation wiring diagrams
Mechanical component detailing and equipment design
Electrical station design, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams
Additional Assets Knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA) requirements
Familiarity with applicable industry standards (CSA, ASME, ASTM, ACI, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
Recognized technical expertise in one or more technology areas
Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders
Advanced proficiency with relevant engineering software and computer applications
