Our Lantz Site is home to both Shaw Precast Solutions and Shaw Brick divisions. Our Lantz maintenance department is currently looking for an Electrician to work in our Lantz, NS Maintenance Team. Our Maintenance Department is a central support resource for all Lantz operations.
As an Electrician for The Shaw Group you will be part of a Team focused on Maintaining the Equipment on the Lantz Site. You will support the daily breakdown needs of the Site along with Planned PM activities across the Site. This important role will require troubleshooting for Root Cause, along with developing planned activities to improve Equipment Uptime, including Procedures, Equipment Reliability and Spare Parts.

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all Regulatory standards.
Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks.
Annual Maintenance support of the Site Electrical Network and Equipment.
Communicate with both the Maintenance Team and the Production Customers to ensure effective Service.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Provide technical assistance on Projects as necessary.
Support for new Equipment/Process installs and Startup.
Experience/Training
Grade 12 / GED.
Valid Nova Scotia Electrician Journeyman Certification.
Experience in the field of Industrial Electrician an asset.
Red Seal certification would be ideal.
Solid computer skills and proven problem solving experience required.
Experience with CMMS systems and Preventive Maintenance practices would be a key asset.
Requirements
Proficiency with information analysis and decision modeling.
Arc flash knowledge/training.
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
Lock out, Tag out, Try out leadership.
On call Site support. (Rotation.)
