Position Announcement
We are recruiting skilled Class 1 Truck Drivers to join the Arrow family in Quesnel or Williams Lake, BC. As an Arrow Driver for the Quesnel Fibre Division, you will remain home every day while hauling wood fibre locally in B‑train trailers, transporting wood chips, sawdust and hog fuel across highways in and around Quesnel and throughout Northern BC.

Schedule & Location
Full‑time, permanent. Monday – Friday, home daily. Travel primarily within Quesnel and Northern BC. 100% home‑based.

Responsibilities

Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation and compliance with applicable Acts and regulations.

Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and en‑route inspections on equipment, ensuring safety, roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.

Comply with all legislation, including safe operation, load securement, driver hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods and weight limits.





Efficiently maneuver truck and trailer(s) into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew; verify correct vehicle position and proper placement of special loading equipment.

Operate loading equipment as required.

Inspect mobile equipment such as frontend loaders for mechanical and safety conditions.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to supervisors.

Report all safety hazards or conditions at load, unload, yard and shop sites.

Record, maintain and verify all relevant paperwork, including bills of lading, to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Operate truck cab computers, CB radios and telephones to communicate with bases, supervisors or other drivers.

Maintain electronic and/or manual logs of work hours and vehicle service and repair status in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.

Communicate courteously with the public, customers and co‑workers.

Assist in loading and unloading trucks.

Perform periodic inspections before, during and after delivery to ensure loads are properly fastened and secured.

Ensure material is protected from the elements; tarp loads may be required.

Clean up any debris from loading or unloading operations.

Provide feedback to supervisor or dispatch regarding customer,



mechanical or delivery issues.

Handle all customers, co‑workers and public interactions professionally and with respect.

Train others as required.

Maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications

Class 1 truck driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement.

Clean driver abstract.

Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

At least two job references.

Ability to drive a standard transmission.

Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.

Physical ability to move 100 pounds, lift 50 lb overhead, lift to shoulder height 75 lb and sit for long periods.

Ability to follow directions and understand cross‑training on all functions at the facility.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
