Meat Cutter

Strathcona Square Sobeys is looking for the right person to join our team as a Meat Cutter.

We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our Meat Department as a Meat Cutter Trainee. No previous meat cutting experience is required—we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning a skilled trade while working in a fast-paced retail setting.
Cutting meat
Stocking products
Cleaning
Assisting customers
Perform all other related duties as assigned by management

SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Possess solid customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast paced setting
Stand for long periods of time
Work in a cold work environment

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Meat cutting certificate from a post-secondary institute

OR
Willing to learn meat cutting/meat department experience
