Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with their pharmacy purchases and inquiries
Process payments accurately using the pharmacy’s point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring correct billing for medications and health products
Verify prescriptions and medication orders in collaboration with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists
Maintain organized transaction records and cash register balances at the end of each shift
Provide basic information about medication types, usage, and store services, always adhering to privacy regulations
Support pharmacy staff by preparing sales displays and restocking over-the-counter products as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all customer interactions
Requirements
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred
Experience working as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is advantageous
Strong understanding of medical terminology to assist with patient questions effectively
Excellent patient care skills with a friendly, qualified demeanor
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to interact clearly with patients and team members
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
