Role Description The Information Technology Support Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Chilliwack, BC. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, tablets and their assigned software, and business applications, ensuring systems function reliably for all team members. The specialist will handle requests, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, and escalate complex problems when necessary.

Daily tasks include installing and configuring workstations, maintaining user accounts and permissions, monitoring system performance, and applying basic security practices. The role also involves documenting support activities, assisting with equipment inventory,



and collaborating with operations staff to ensure technology supports business and environmental service goals.

Qualifications Solid technical support skills, with a focus on responsive and thorough service.

Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop computers, peripheral devices, and common office software.

Solid understanding of information technology fundamentals, including operating systems, networks, and basic security practices.

Relevant education such as a diploma or certification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

. Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, accessible language.

Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate with team members in an in office environment.

Experience with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and hardware setup is required.
