Join the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry as a Geriatric Psychiatrist in Nanaimo, available for full time or part time roles. Engage directly with patients and healthcare teams to provide compassionate psychiatric services. You will work in collaboration with three fellow psychiatrists, leading clinical initiatives within the GEM program. This includes consultations in high-acuity inpatient and outpatient settings as well as residential care environments.

Your role supports a comprehensive geriatric psychiatry program while also allowing you to connect with patients in remote areas of Vancouver Island. Key Responsibilities:
Give leadership in multidisciplinary geriatric consulting
Work with complex geriatric patients in various settings
Participate in the NRGH General Psychiatry call schedule




Contribute to educational initiatives within the Island Medical Program
Support the Island-wide Dementia Strategy development Requirements:
Full licensing eligibility with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
Must be eligible for membership in Canadian Association of Geriatric Psychiatry
Fellowship considered a valuable asset but not mandatory
Open to providing services to special populations remotely
