As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to animals in a kennel environment. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the kennels, ensuring the well-being of the animals, and assisting with various tasks to support the overall operation of the facility.
Duties
Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and play areas
Provide food, water, and basic care for animals
Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to supervisory staff
Assist with exercising animals
Assist with intake and discharge procedures for animals
Maintain inventory of supplies and notify when replenishment is needed
Requirements
Previous experience in animal care or related field is preferred but not required
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and visitors
Willingness to work in a rapid-paced workplace and collaborate with team members
