Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.

Design and build native Android applications for robot data annotation, dataset review, and experiment tracking in the field.

Build fast, reliable mobile experiences for real-time and near-real-time data capture alongside live robot operation.

Utilize data-driven techniques to optimize interfaces for efficiency and fast iteration cycles.

Integrate AI models to automate manual annotation and review tasks.

Work closely with AI researchers, robot operators, and annotators to support new mobile-first user experiences.

Partner with our web tooling team to ensure consistent data models and workflows across mobile and web surfaces.

Robust software engineering fundamentals.





Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of professional, full-time experience building native Android applications.

Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, and the contemporary Android toolchain (Jetpack Compose, Android SDK/NDK).

Bonus Qualifications Experience integrating with data stores (Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, etc.).

Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience building data annotation, dataset management, or field-data-collection tools.

Experience with React/TypeScript or other web frontend frameworks, for close collaboration with web tooling counterparts.

The US base salary range for this full time position is between $150,000 - $350,000 annually.
