Company Description S.U.C.C.E.S.S. ACCEP-IEHP is a program funded by the Government of Canada that supports employers in recruiting, training, and retaining internationally educated health specialists.
The initiative focuses on helping organizations tap into the skills and experience of internationally trained immigrants, while supporting their successful integration into the Canadian workforce. ACCEP-IEHP collaborates closely with employers, community partners, and regulatory bodies to design tailored supports and training pathways. The program aims to strengthen the health sector by improving access to qualified talent and promoting inclusive, equitable employment practices.
Role Description The IEHP role at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. ACCEP-IEHP is a full time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. In this role, the team member supports internationally educated health professionals and employers through day-to-day coordination of program activities, including intake, needs assessment, and referrals to appropriate services.
Responsibilities include organizing training and information sessions, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with outreach to employers and community stakeholders.
The IEHP team member communicates regularly with participants to provide guidance, monitor progress, and help address barriers to employment. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues to improve program delivery and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment.
Qualifications
Experience in client services or case management in a community, employment, or healthcare-related setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse populations and stakeholders.
Organizational and administrative skills, such as scheduling, record-keeping, and report preparation.
Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare sector and issues facing internationally educated health professionals is an asset.
Proficiency with standard office software and data management tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in an in office team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Post-secondary education in social sciences, healthcare, employment counseling, or a related field is preferred.
Additional language skills beyond English are considered an asset.
