Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic

We are a growing Southwestern Ontario-based company seeking an experienced and reliable Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. Our fleet includes:
Dump Trucks
Hydro Excavators / Hydrovac Trucks
Combination Flusher Trucks
Vacuum Trucks
Snow Plows
Specialty Heavy Equipment

This position is ideal for a mechanic who is comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment and capable of troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and truck systems.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and motion control systems
Complete repairs on engines, drivetrains, braking systems, and auxiliary equipment
Maintain service records and work orders
Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently




Respond to occasional field service calls as required

Qualifications
Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and vocational equipment
Strong knowledge of:
Hydraulics
Pneumatics
Motion control systems
Electrical diagnostics
Ability to troubleshoot independently and efficiently
Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
Valid driver’s license required (DZ or AZ considered an asset)
Strong work ethic and ability to work extended hours when required
