Oakpark Powerline Services Ltd is currently looking for a Journeyperson PLT or Lineman.
You will be responsible to perform a variety of lineperson’s assignments involved in all aspects of the installation, construction, troubleshooting, repairing, specialized testing, maintenance, and ongoing inspection and maintenance of all overhead and underground distribution, transmission, switching station, substation and streetlight facilities and infrastructure.

Job Duties:
Strong distribution operation, construction and maintenance knowledge and skills
Customer relations skills and willingness to learn current customer techniques
Willing and able to perform line construction work activities and work away from home base when required
Ability to climb poles, work at heights, and work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time;
An ability to function well in a crew environment and be able to work independently when needed
Proven problem resolution skills and the flexibility and ability to adapt to rescheduled assignments
Demonstrated protected work skills and commitment including knowledge of safe work and job planning procedures.
Ability to work with underground utilities up on 69 kv
Requirements and preferences:
Valid Journeyperson Trade Certification
Valid First Aid Certificate an asset
Valid Class 5 License
2 years experience
Possess own tools
Excellent communication skills
Assets:
Red Seal PLT Certificate
Valid Driver’s License-Class 3 with Air
Able to work independently
This position is based out of St Adolphe MB however work location will vary based on project
