Purpose of the Position:
Reporting through the COO, the Director of Warehouse & Logistics is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, distribution, inventory control, and logistics to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery. This role plays a strategic part in developing scalable processes, optimizing supply chain performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals.
Warehouse Operations
Direct daily warehouse activities including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
Develop and implement SOPs to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and the facility to support smooth operations.
Logistics & Distribution
Oversee transportation and delivery processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective distribution.
Manage third-party logistics (3PL) relationships and carrier performance.
Optimize routing and freight costs through effective planning and negotiation.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehouse and logistics team.
Establish clear performance metrics and accountability standards.
Promote a culture of safety,
teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system controls.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales to forecast and meet inventory needs.
Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and identify process improvements.
Strategic Planning
Develop and manage the annual warehouse and logistics budget.
Lead initiatives to scale operations in line with business growth.
Identify and implement automation and technology solutions to improve efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
8+ years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain leadership.
Proven track record of managing large-scale warehouse and distribution operations.
Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and supply chain best practices.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
