Garden Centre Team Member - Nanaimo

Gardenworks Nanaimo is looking for a knowledgeable and friendly garden enthusiast to join our team. This is a hands-on role working across all departments of the garden centre. If you love plants, enjoy helping people, and thrive in a busy indoor/outdoor retail environment, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist guests in finding the right plants and products for their gardens and projects
Share your plant knowledge to help customers make confident, informed choices
Maintain department presentation — watering, deadheading, tidying, and stocking
Operate our point-of-sale system Receive and merchandise incoming product
Support your team across departments as needed throughout the season

WHAT YOU BRING
A genuine interest in plants and gardening — you don't need to know everything, but you should love learning
Some working knowledge of gardening & lifestyle
A friendly, approachable manner with customers




Ability to work in a fast-paced, indoor/outdoor retail setting in all weather
Comfortable with physical tasks — lifting, bending, and being on your feet throughout your shift
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset

AVAILABILITY This is a part time position that could lead to full-time. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Compensation starting at $19.00/hr
