Residential Restoration EstimatorJob Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Restoration Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing restoration project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and supporting jobs from the initial site visit through to completion. Your work will help ensure fair, competitive pricing and smooth project execution. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and takes pride in producing accurate, well-presented estimates for residential restoration work.

Duties
Attend site visits to inspect water, fire, and mould damage and gather the information needed for accurate estimates.
Review job details, scope notes, and photos to develop clear, comprehensive cost estimates for mitigation and restoration work.
Prepare accurate quotes and proposals for homeowners and insurance claims.
Work with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and confirm scope.
Analyze labour, material, and equipment costs to build precise budgets.
Help plan job schedules and resource needs so they line up with the estimated costs.




Support the project team with cost tracking throughout the job.

Qualifications
Experience in restoration or construction estimating, with a positive understanding of the work involved.
Familiarity with residential restoration — water damage mitigation, drying, demolition, and reconstruction.
Robust knowledge of pricing and cost analysis for restoration work.
Good negotiation skills to secure fair pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Practical construction knowledge across common trades and materials.
Ability to manage several jobs at once while staying accurate and organized.
Clear communication skills to present estimates and work well with the team, clients, and adjusters.
