Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load, unload, and secure freight or heavy equipment using appropriate tools such as forklifts when necessary
Plan productive delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal vehicle performance
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading freight
Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and safety records throughout your shift
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot vehicle issues
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning
Physical stamina to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed
Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly desirable
