Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Assistant to support our dental team in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sterilization procedures, dental terminology, and infection prevention protocols. As a vital member of our clinical staff, you will ensure that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for patient care, contributing to a safe and efficient dental practice setting.

Responsibilities
Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Prepare sterilization areas by organizing supplies, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory management.
Assist dental staff by passing sterilized instruments during procedures in a timely manner.
Monitor sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions promptly.
Adhere to all health regulations and safety procedures related to infection control and medical waste disposal.




Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the sterilization area to promote a safe clinical environment.
Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document procedures and communicate effectively with team members.
Set up and clean up the operatories after procedures

Experience
Prior experience in a dental or medical sterilization setting is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
Familiarity with sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and disinfectants is advantageous.
Basic understanding of infection control practices within healthcare environments.
Robust attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to follow precise instructions and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the clinical team.

Pay: $43,056.00-$60,320.00 per year
