Duties
Install, inspect, test, and service fire alarm systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes
Troubleshoot electrical issues, sensor malfunctions, and low voltage wiring problems using appropriate hand tools and power tools
Conduct system diagnostics to identify faults and implement effective solutions promptly
Collaborate with construction teams during recent builds or renovations to ensure fire alarm systems are integrated seamlessly
Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, repairs, and system modifications for compliance purposes
Assist in training clients on system operation and maintenance procedures

Skills




Construction experience or familiarity working on building sites is highly advantageous
Solid electrical experience with a focus on low voltage wiring, sensors, and power supplies
Mechanical knowledge that supports troubleshooting hardware components of fire alarm systems
Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools necessary for installation and repair tasks
Understanding of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards relevant to fire alarm systems
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
