Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our agile dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a robust understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.

Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when necessary, including handling patient inquiries.
Collaborate with orthodontics or pediatrics teams when required for specialized care.




Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental practice.

Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics will be considered an asset.
Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is advantageous for those involved in restorative procedures.
