VP of Operations
Department: Operations
Reports To: Brand President - Franchisee
Base pay range: CA$150,000.00/yr - CA$180,000.00/yr
Position Summary: The VP of Operations is the brand leader for all day‑to‑day operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, exceeding the brand’s high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness, and ensuring the restaurants in the market are always sharp, safe, and ready for business. Success comes from building a winning team capable of executing our plans and growing EBITA in accordance with good business practices.
What You’ll Do
Management routines, standards & audit
Role creation—define expectations for each position
Team development and management—build a team of high‑performing leaders
Act as a dynamic change agent—create buy‑in, shared vision, and engagement (not just work within a corporate structure)
Create a positive, ethical culture based on doing things right—not cutting corners
Process creates results, NOT results at all costs
What You Bring
Engaging, positive leader who is hands‑on operationally, but with the vision to build scalable systems
Advanced understanding and technical competence in all quick‑service restaurant operating systems
Proven history of training, developing, and coaching others
Robust financial acumen and ability to manage P&Ls;, establish budgets, and ensure achievement of targets through systems and processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven leadership skills
Self‑directed and initiative‑taking
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
Strong judgment and decision‑making skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
We need a leader to take us to the next level with relative autonomy to build the team and processes
This is far more entrepreneurial than most roles in the industry
Build systems for staffing, training, development, assessment, and monitoring goals
Create systems that drive and monitor financial and operational performance with correction mechanisms
Develop communication, record‑keeping, and compliance systems
5+ years of QSR experience at a multi‑unit level
A college diploma or university degree is an asset
