This Psychiatric Clinical Resource Nurse position is critical in ensuring high-quality psychiatric care in a fast-paced workplace. You'll support an array of multidisciplinary professionals, providing leadership in mental health treatment while coordinating essential patient care plans and resources. This role is integral to maintaining standards of practice and champions client-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee psychiatric care within the Emergency Department
• Assess mental health needs and create care plans
• Act as a liaison between patients and external health agencies
• Educate staff on mental health principles and best practices
• Advocate for patients’ rights and well-being
Requirements:
• Registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse
• At least three years of experience in mental health services
• Recent completion of Non-violent crisis intervention training
• BC driver’s license for travel within the local area
• Proficient knowledge of mental health care modalities
