Join the NRC's creative Cryptography team as a Research Officer in Applied Cryptography, located in Waterloo or Montreal. This position focuses on cutting-edge cryptographic research with an emphasis on post-quantum methods. This term role until March 2028 requires a PhD in computer science or related fields.

You'll support the Digital Technologies Research Centre by conducting research of international caliber in applied post-quantum cryptography. Collaboration is key as you work with experts to advance cryptographic algorithms and engage in international evaluations and demonstrations. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research in applied post-quantum cryptography
Design creative quantum-secure protocols
Develop a post-quantum cryptography lab
Write and review significant project proposals
Lead impactful research initiatives in cryptography Requirements:
PhD in computer science or mathematics
Experience with post-quantum cryptographic algorithms
Proficient in C/C++/Python programming
Publications in peer-reviewed journals
Involvement with standard bodies like NIST or ISO Support innovative research in cryptography, contributing to the future of secure communication technologies.
