Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering friendly and effective service to patrons while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming concession area during events. The position also ensures full compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Customer Experience Coordinator, the Concession Attendant’s duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

Provide prompt, friendly, and skilled service to patrons at the bar and concession

Ensure all concession volunteers are aware of and adhere to Alberta ProServe requirements

Prepare and serve mixed beverages (hi-balls) and open canned or bottled drinks in accordance with AGLC regulations

Process cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, concession, and service areas throughout events

Restock beverages, snacks, and supplies as needed before, during, and after events

Support occasional specialty drink promotions or themed beverage sales

Follow all theatre policies and safety procedures, including responsible alcohol service practices





Ensure concession deposits are carried out according to cash procedures

Ensure that event cash balance and cash register reports are forwarded to the Accounting & HR Administrator

Qualifications
Previous experience in customer service and/or food and beverage service industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for theatre events
Proficiency in digital communication tools: Slack, Email, SignUp, Teams
Excellent customer service skills
Must have valid Class 5 Drivers license

Working Conditions
Occasional lifting and moving of equipment and stock up to 50 lbs may be necessary
This role may require extended hours during event days
This role may include off-site work
This role involves interaction with diverse groups of people
Must have Alberta ProServe (asset)

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
