Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 5Q Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a commitment to safety, reliability, and effective communication with both team members and customers.

Duties
Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
Ensure timely pick-ups of products while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in valuable working condition.
Load and unload cargo, utilizing heavy lifting techniques as necessary.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Maintain accurate records of pick-ups, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.

Qualifications




Class 5 Operator's License with air brake "Q" endorsement is required.
Proven experience in commercial driving or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse maps and city driving is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
Comply with all provincial, local and company rules on safety and vehicle operation.
