We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over long distances or within designated regions.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with transportation regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients,
and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to ensure vehicle readiness.
Requirements
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy equipment operation.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards related to heavy equipment operation.
Basic mechanical skills for automotive repair and troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
Solid communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and customer service.
