Centre-Based Clinical Services (CBRS) Permanent Part-Time Position
22.5 hours/week
Mississauga Site
Work Arrangement: In office
Replacement Position
Compensation Range: $45.80 - $53.87/hour
Position Summary:
ErinoakKidsis seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Occupational Therapist at our Mississauga location. The Occupational Therapist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide a variety of services including assessment; development and monitoring of individualized service plans for children and youths with special needs; education for parents, community support; and assistance to families and clients to transition successfully from one setting to another.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, manage, coordinate and effectively deliver services to clients identified and referred to Occupational Therapy services
- Assess client needs and develop service plans based on assessment results and client/family goals
- Implement treatment plans that meet client/family needs and adhere to evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines
- Support community participation and transitions
- Participate in clinics and programs as assigned (i.e., Feeding, Seating, Rehab, Neuromuscular)
- Contribute to program and process development activities
- Integrate solution-focused coaching and F-words for child development frameworks in intervention
Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university;
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO);
- ADP Individual Authorizer status for mobility devices would be an asset,
- 2 years of experience working in the field with children with special needs and their families preferred;
- Experience with pediatric feeding and/or splinting is an asset;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management proficiency;
- An ability to display a high level of initiative;
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle
