Project Lead – HVAC / Building Services
Overview
An established HVAC and building services company is seeking a Project Lead to support the delivery of mechanical and HVAC projects across Ireland.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced HVAC Technician, AC Engineer, or Mechanical Services Technician looking to move off the tools and progress into a project-focused position.
Working alongside a Senior Project Manager and experienced service team, you’ll gain exposure to all aspects of project delivery including coordination, client interaction, planning, subcontractor management, procurement, and project execution.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands HVAC systems technically and wants to develop a long-term career within project management and building services delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of HVAC and mechanical projects from planning through to completion.
Assist with coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and site activities.
Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, engineers, and internal teams.
Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Support project scheduling, reporting, and day-to-day coordination activities.
Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
Ensure high standards of health & safety and quality are maintained across projects.
Build strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Support project cost tracking, budgeting, and general commercial coordination.
Coordinate with service and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
Contribute to technical discussions and solution development where required.
Ideal Background
This role would suit someone with:
A background in HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration, or mechanical building services
Experience working as an HVAC Technician, AC Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanical Technician, or similar
Some exposure to project coordination, site supervision, or small project delivery
Strong communication skills and willingness to take on more responsibility
Valuable technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems
A proactive attitude with ambition to progress into project management
Previous project management experience is beneficial but not essential.
