About the Role
Limited‑term Assistant Professor position in the School of Nursing and Midwifery (August 15, 2026 – August 14, 2027). The successful candidate will be hired into the teaching/service pattern (TS) and may change to the teaching/scholarship/service pattern (TSS) after tenure.
Qualifications
Priority to candidates with experience in midwifery education.
Qualified to teach all levels of midwifery courses and participate in course and program revisions and development.
Preferred instructor qualifications in Fetal Health Surveillance, Neonatal Resuscitation, and midwifery Emergency Skills.
Active Registered Midwife in Alberta or another Canadian jurisdiction; eligible for and must maintain registration with the College of Midwives of Alberta or another Canadian regulatory body.
Master’s degree required; a PhD in Midwifery or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of current midwifery experience.
