When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada. Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.
Description
Volunteers need to be 18 years of age or older.
Encourage and cheer on participants throughout the 1K and 5K routes to help create a memorable experience.
Provide friendly directions and help participants navigate the course while emphasizing event signage and safety guidelines.
Support the friendly and supportive atmosphere that inspires participants to keep going and cross the finish line.
Why we need you
Together, we are changing the future of breast cancer. By joining the CIBC Run for the Cure this year and uniting your community together for the breast cancer cause,
you are helping us ensure we can continue to fund ground-breaking breast cancer research and clinical trials. Thanks to these investments in research and clinical trials, approximately 90% of women will survive at least 5 years after a breast cancer diagnosis. By being a part of the CIBC Run for the Cure, you are helping us make tremendous progress!
