Join NRC Aerospace as an Aircraft Structural Technician focusing on structural and material testing for air vehicles. This full time role requires physical presence and hands-on engagement in testing processes. As part of the SMPL Structural Integrity Test Facility, you'll participate in all phases of structural testing, component testing, and data collection.
The role demands extensive experience (7+ years) in aircraft structures, certification processes, and control system calibration. You'll work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring all test setups are correctly configured and functioning. Key Responsibilities:
Set up and calibrate test articles for physical evaluation
Operate control and data acquisition systems during tests
Certify configurations and functionality at key testing stages
Collect and organize data for analysis and reporting
Collaborate with team members on testing protocols Requirements:
7+ years as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or similar
Extensive knowledge of composite structures and metallic elements
Experience with machine shop equipment and inspections
Familiarity with Canadian Forces Technical Orders
Ability to operate overhead cranes safely Utilize your expertise in structural testing and aircraft maintenance at NRC Aerospace, contributing to high-quality research and development.
