Drum/Percussion Teacher

Fort Erie School of Music - Fort Erie, ON

The Fort Erie School of Music is hiring Drum/Percussion Teachers. School hours are Monday to Friday at 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS:
Music Teaching and/or performance experience: 5 years.
Individuals who are reliable, patient, energetic enjoy working with children, adults and seniors.
Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Able to personalize the lesson to each student’s needs.
Able to teach technique and repertoire in a fun, engaging manner. Have robust organizational and time management skills.
Maintain a professional, friendly and secure environment.
Submit or agree to Police Criminal Record Check.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching one-on-one lessons from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
Incorporate techniques and theory in each lesson.




Build a strong relationship with the students and assist them in reaching their goals.
Give feedback to parents.
Ensure room is ready and equipment is properly stored.
Report accidents or concerns to the Director for immediate follow-up and appropriate action.
Maintain an understanding of programs and services.
Maintain an understanding of the Company Policies & Procedures Guidelines.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $10.00-$20.00 per hour
