As a Mortgage Sales Specialist, you will build long‑term relationships with clients, identify and refer them to the right TD Bank partners, and support the achievement of monthly sales targets.
Responsibilities Identify client life and financial goals, potential barriers, and provide ongoing relationship and portfolio management.
Identify and refer clients to appropriate TD partners (Wealth, Retail, Small Business Banking, Commercial).
Provide comprehensive reviews of clients’ financial circumstances and deliver expert financial planning advice.
Create a legendary customer experience at every interaction and deliver a positive first impression.
Provide sound advice, seek opportunities to improve overall customer experience, and support ONE TD by referring customers to internal partners.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the real‑estate market, competitive offers in mortgage lending, and economic trends.
Obtain expert knowledge of TD mortgage lending products and ensure customer problems are handled professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Build and exhibit sales skills, demonstrate credit knowledge, and partner effectively within TD’s employee‑focused culture.
Work closely with the District Manager to make sales calls and conduct monthly coaching sessions.
Contribute to the achievement of sales and business development objectives by meeting or exceeding monthly mortgage product targets.
Promote TD’s image through community engagement, professional networking, and leadership in fundraising initiatives.
Support the development and implementation of compliant reporting and processes in line with internal and regulatory guidelines.
Analyze market and mortgage lending industry data to provide value‑added reporting and mitigate risk.
Maintain compliance training, attestations, and adherence to Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.
Participate fully in team activities, knowledge transfer, and performance‑management processes.
Act as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.
Qualifications Undergraduate degree or community college diploma preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a client‑facing, sales or relationship‑focused role.
Strong knowledge of mortgage products, credit, and real‑estate market trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer‑service skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage risk in line with regulatory requirements.
