Electrical Engineer – Test Facilities Engineering We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Test Facilities Engineering team in Mississauga, Ontario, focused on developing advanced electrical and automation systems for engine testing facilities.
Responsibilities Lead research, development, design, integration, and validation of electrical and automation systems to meet technical requirements and project objectives.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop innovative solutions for engine test facilities and automated test benches.
Analyze technical requirements, operational constraints, costs, schedules, and customer needs to assess project feasibility and define optimal solutions.
Design and specify electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and automation architectures for industrial applications.
Coordinate and oversee manufacturing, installation, commissioning, maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical and automated systems.
Develop project schedules and support budget planning to ensure successful project execution within established timelines and cost targets.
Support integration and implementation of new technologies across test systems and facilities.
Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions to present recommendations, findings, and technical solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and other team members.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations throughout all project phases.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.




Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in electrical systems, automation, or industrial engineering environments.
Preferred Qualifications Robust verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley).
Experience with HMI programming (Wonderware InTouch).
Knowledge of industrial networking and databases.
Knowledge of instrumentation and measurement systems.
Familiarity with electrical building codes and standards.
Hands‑on troubleshooting experience with industrial systems.
Bilingualism (French and English).
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Knowledge of gas turbine test cells or aerospace testing environments.
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in schedule‑ and budget‑driven environments.
