Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is essential for overseeing and enhancing coding standards within the organization. With five years of experience in coding and data analysis, you’ll build essential training programs, maintain compliance with healthcare data standards, and drive quality audits across coding practices. Connect with stakeholders to ensure that best practices are followed and updated consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead data quality initiatives and policy development
• Deliver training programs for coding staff and students
• Collaborate with CIHI and other healthcare databases
• Audit coding practices for continuous improvement
• Develop resources that support coding proficiency assessments
Requirements:
• Health Information Management accredited diploma or degree
• At least five years of relevant coding experience
• Active CHIM certification and engagement with CHIMA
• Proficient in data quality analysis and reporting tools
• BC Driver’s License necessary
