Job Overview Electrical Engineering Technologist at Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc., Regina – responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, programming, configuring, and troubleshooting electrical machinery, controls, industrial automation and data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities Receive wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings, and install, repair, adjust, calibrate, construct, modify or service electronic devices and systems.
Plan work procedures, determine material or replacement needs, and troubleshoot and repair problems.
Prepare sketches of parts and layouts, design and construct adaptations or conversions of component parts.
Complete mechanical and electrical repairs in connection with servicing electronic equipment.
Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test and adjust equipment for safe and proper operation.
Plan and perform work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, wiring specification codes, materials, and operation of equipment.
Fabricate parts using machine and hand tools common to the trade.
Requirements & Qualifications Understanding of Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures.




Diploma from a recognized Electrical Engineering Technology Program; Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering Technology role.
Understanding and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of OH&S; regulations and safety standards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
