Job Summary Senior Project Manager with the Development Advisory team at Altus Group. Lead technical and advisory services for public and private P3 infrastructure projects, including procurement, cost and schedule development, risk analysis, and project delivery across multiple transportation sectors.
Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and recommend technical solutions for P3 projects.
Develop clear deliverables and guidance for clients.
Coordinate technical reviews of large P3 projects, including engineering aspects, environmental studies, risks, and site plans.
Identify impacts of developments along transit and highway corridors and advise on required improvements.
Develop technical specifications for owner/govt clients, integrating commercial and contractual aspects of P3 contracts.
Provide procurement to implementation advisory for asset owners, lenders, and private sector consortia.
Serve as Owner’s Representative/Project Manager overseeing multiple concurrent projects, tracking progress through project phases such as data verification, scheduling, budget accuracy, bid pricing review, and contingency usage.
Conduct or oversee field inspections and respond to inquiries to ensure compliance with permits, regulations, standards, and contract documents.
Act as a PPP technical advisor, supporting funders, investors, purchasers, and local authorities through the PPP process, performance audit, lifecycle costing, benchmarking, and value‑for‑money reviews.
Advise financial institutions and sponsors on risk assessment,
design and construction proposals, construction programs, statutory approvals, costs, and lifecycle provisions.
Lead multidisciplinary bid teams, develop bid strategy, and ensure compliance with commercial and risk expectations.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff.
Collaborate with management to support revenue generation, profitability, and business growth locally and nationally.
Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or comparable discipline.
Skilled Engineer designation.
11–15+ years of experience in P3 Infrastructure Advisory Services.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
Deep understanding of P3 financing mechanisms, business acumen, and financial risk analysis.
Ability to develop and manage business plans and budgets.
Strong knowledge of the Canadian and U.S. construction industry and PPP development cycles.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings; solid IT skills.
Strategic thinking, analytical skills, high integrity, honesty, and self‑motivation.
