Position Canada Research Chair Tier 2 in Medical Physics (CIHR stream) at the University of British Columbia, Department of Physics and Astronomy. The role includes a tenure‑track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start date of 1 July 2026 and a salary range of $150,000–$170,000 per year.
Responsibilities Develop and lead research in medical physics, focusing on emerging areas of the field.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor students.
Provide service within the department, the university, and the broader community.
Qualifications Ph.D. in medical physics or a related field.
A record of research excellence in medical physics.
Pursuit of a full‑time tenure‑track appointment at UBC, rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
A solid potential for teaching and mentoring at graduate and undergraduate levels.

British Columbia. The department collaborates with BC Cancer and its regional centres, teaching hospitals, and the TRIUMF particle accelerator.
