Role Summary
The incumbent is responsible for repairing and maintaining aircraft avionics equipment, performing scheduled and unscheduled avionics tasks, troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems, overseeing the work or and assisting apprentices, and ensuring Air North’s facilities, including avionics shop, tools and equipment are maintained to industry standards
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on aircraft instruments, avionics and electrical systems and components:
Carry out systems testing in accordance with appropriate documentation such as Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Service bulletins, Engineering Orders
Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specification
Carry out troubleshooting procedures to isolate faults
Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel
Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications to aircraft using approved tools, materials and manuals
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft system defects
Must haves
Minimum of 2 years related experience
Required to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
A solid sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to haves
TC approved endorsements on aircrafts operated by the Company: B737 Classic, Next Generations aircraft and ATR 42-300/320 an asset
