Overview We are currently seeking a Senior Information Technology Associate in Calgary, Canada (Posted: 2026‑05‑01). This role contributes to the development and maintenance of internal systems and programs, ensuring seamless network infrastructure and endpoint device functionality across the division. The incumbent will design, develop and maintain internal IT systems, support the full development lifecycle from design and implementation to testing and documentation, provide technical support to end users, lead user training sessions, and ensure network infrastructure and devices operate securely and efficiently.
Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices, including setting up new workstations and ensuring software compatibility.
Update anti‑virus software, implement firewalls, and perform regular data backups to prevent data loss and unauthorized access.
Provide orientations and technical guidance to staff on how to use current systems, software, and office equipment effectively.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, system modifications, and technical incidents for future auditing and reference.
Use Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to automate the deployment of operating systems (OSD), software packages, and security patches across the network.
Use Microsoft Service Manager to log, track, and resolve ITIL‑based work items, including incidents, problems, and change requests.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware failures, software glitches, and connectivity problems.
Monitor device health and compliance status.
Schedule and execute regular patch cycles using SCCM to keep workstations secure and up‑to‑date.
Leverage SCCM remote control tools to troubleshoot and remediate failed installations or technical issues on user machines without physical intervention.
Maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
within Service Manager by integrating data from SCCM and Active Directory to track hardware and software assets.
Apply a strong understanding of ITIL processes for service delivery, such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Use PowerShell to automate repetitive administrative tasks and customize SCCM deployment sequences.
Use Active Directory for managing user groups and permissions required for SCCM/SCSM integration.
Requirements Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networks or a related field.
4+ years of industry experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or related roles.
Understanding or experience with the following would also be an asset: Network Infrastructure; Reporting Tools such as Splunk, Rapid7, Tenable; SCCM; Microsoft SharePoint.
Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing help‑desk support to end users.
Hands‑on experience with the Microsoft System Center suite, specifically Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Service Manager (SCSM).
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
