Power Plant Technician
Join us as a Power Plant Technician at Nasittuq Corporation where you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines, generators, and related equipment.

Nasittuq Corporation delivers exemplary support services to the Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert in the Canadian Arctic, managing critical operations for the Department of National Defense (DND) ranging from facilities maintenance to logistical support.
Where You Will Be Working
CFS Alert is the northernmost permanently inhabited place worldwide, located on the north‑eastern tip of Ellesmere Island. The site offers a breathtaking backdrop of unique landscapes and fauna. You will operate in a remote, isolated, and challenging environment.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Certified Diesel Mechanic with a focus on Caterpillar co‑generator systems.
5+ years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of diesel engines, generators, and related equipment.
Proficient at performing shop preventative and reoccurring inspections on power plant equipment.
Experience conducting maintenance and test‑runs on generators, APUs, UPSs,
and auxiliary equipment following manufacturer recommendations.
Ability to respond to equipment failures, complete repairs, and address emergency calls or situations.
Maintaining the Power Plant Operations Log and related documentation and reports for equipment and test‑runs.
Eligible for a Reliability security clearance and pre‑employment medical.
Possess a valid passport for travel to CFS Alert, NU, including overnight stays in Thule, Greenland.
Cross‑cultural adaptability and strong teamwork skills.

$27 per day isolation allowance for each day on site.
