Education Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
Work Setting Agricultural equipment. General manufacturing.
Responsibilities Repair machine tools and parts.
Set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
Supervision Apprentices.
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses Machinist Trade Certification.
Transportation / Travel Own transportation. Valid driver's licence.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast‑paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Required Tools and Equipment Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel‑toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Face shield. Gloves.
Personal Suitability Accurate. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Team player.
Experience 1 year to less than 2 years.
