Flight Test Specialist Full‑time position, Monday to Friday, flexible hours, based in Mirabel, performed exclusively on‑site.
Responsibilities Write work instructions for the installation and removal of pylons, engines, systems, and nacelle components.
Develop assembly sequences, integrate hardware, tooling, and experimental requirements.
Coordinate installation and removal of pylons, engines, and nacelles on Flying Test Beds (FTB).
Plan, prepare, and execute flight‑test campaigns for P&W; and PWC experimental engines.
Manage the flight‑test schedule to meet key milestones (installation, ground runs, first flight).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engine program teams during flight‑test preparation.
Prepare risk assessments and coordinate readiness/safety gates.
Lead pre‑flight and post‑flight briefings.
Operate experimental engines and monitor electrical, pneumatic, fuel, and hydraulic systems in accordance with flight‑test plans.
Take responsibility for safety matters throughout the campaign, acting as cabin safety lead during flight.
Interface with program teams, maintenance, pilots, Flight Test Instrumentation, and quality personnel.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and related business innovations.
Qualifications Must have: College degree in aircraft maintenance with at least 10 years of experience OR bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
Relevant experience of 3 years in engine installation and test.
Knowledge of methods engineering.
Understanding of engines, aircraft, hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, electrical systems,



and mechanical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and assembly plans.
Knowledge of tooling, safety procedures, and maintenance personnel needs for mechanical system assembly and disassembly.
Demonstrated teamwork, ability to perform under pressure, and adaptability to change and uncertainty.
Experience and understanding of flight testing (asset).
Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) and engine control systems used in engine test cells (asset).
Understanding of aerospace regulations and traceability/documentation requirements (asset).
Leadership, autonomy, passion, and a sense of responsibility (asset).
Language skills: French‑speaking work setting; strong English reading, writing, and communication for technical documentation.
