Duties:
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
Clean machines, tooling, and parts

Skills:




Proficient in operating manual and computer-controlled machinery
Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
Experience operating a forklift is a plus
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred

This position requires attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate must also have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
